MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION® OF CANADA
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada grants the personal, special wishes of children aged 3 through 17 with life-threatening medical conditions, to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Founded after a group of individuals helped a young boy fulfill his dream of being a police officer, the Foundation is now part of the largest wish-granting organization in the world, making dreams and wishes come true for more than 225,000 children.
UNICEF
UNICEF has been helping children in hundreds of countries for more than 60 years. Through sales of its unique holiday gifts and greeting cards, UNICEF has raised millions of dollars for children in need around the world. UNICEF projects give children access to education while providing their parents with income-generating opportunities.
SAVE THE CHILDREN
For close to 90 years, Save the Children Canada has been fighting for the rights of children in Canada and overseas. It develops projects that benefit children, provides aid during disasters, promotes education, and works to prevent child labour. Save the Children Canada is a member of the International Save the Children Alliance, the world’s largest global movement for children.
WWF
Supported by about six million members around the world, WWF works to protect the future of nature. Using the latest scientific research, WWF helps to safeguard natural areas and wild populations of plants and animals. WWF also promotes the sustainable use of resources and is committed to reducing environmental pollution. It is the world’s largest multinational conservation group.
Tree Canada
Tree Canada is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that plants trees across Canada and encourages Canadians to do the same. To date, Tree Canada has planted more than 76 million trees across the country.
